That was the conclusion from Laszlo Sinka on the Closing Party in Larvik at the end of the 6th European Beach Handball Championship. The awards to the best players, topscore and fair-play-team were announced on the Closing Party in Sliperiet.

Croatia (M) European Beach Champions
The defending Champions Russia did not manage to win a new ECh-title. In the final of the 6th European Beach Championship in Larvik, Norway Croatia was the best team, and is the new Champion - Gongratulations!

Italy (W) European Beach-champions!
The Italien ladies won the gold medals in the 6th European Beach Handball Championship after a thriller of a final match against Norway. Italy won the first set, Norway the second. The Shoot Out ended 4-4, but Italy scored in their first attempt of Golden Goal shoot-outs and Norway missed. Italy is this years European Beach-Champions!

Mens bronze-medals to Hungary
The Hungarian Mens team was the best team in the bronze-final against Denmark, and won both periods, the match and the bronze-medals in the 6th European Beach Handball Championship in Larvik.

The Croatian Womens team won both periods in the bronze-final against Ukraine in EuroBeach09 in Larvik, and is the winner of the bronze-medals in this Championship
